Van Gerwen went through the last sixteen, making short work of Kai Gotthardt with a 6-1 win. He only drops one leg thanks to a 12-darter and a 14-darter. Later, he is all set to face Madars Razma, who secured his spot with a 6-4 victory over Andy Baetens.
Richard Veenstra also played well and secured his place in the quarters by defeating Ricky Evans 6-4. Veenstraβs next challenge is Matt Campbell, the Canadian who played out Gian van Veen 6-5 in a thrilling deciding leg.

Danny Noppert, known as βThe Freeze,β defeated Peter Wright 6-3 and now faces Keane Barry in the quarter-finals. Barry progressed by eliminating Ryan Meikle in a cruicial leg.
The last quarter-final clash pits Boris Krcmar against Dimitri van den Bergh. ‘The Dreammaker’ did well for 6-3 over Dom Taylor. While Krcmar dominated Haupai Puha with a 6-2 victory in the last sixteen.
