“For me, this is like the start of a new year. The real work begins now,” said Wade. “The Masters tournament in January, which happens in Milton Keynes, is a bit unusual because it isn’t ranked and comes after most players have taken a break from playing. After that, unless you’re in the Premier League, the events are pretty scattered.”

“But things are changing now. Next month, we have the World Matchplay – a tournament I’ve won before. Then, there’s the Grand Prix in September, the Grand Slam in November, the Players Championships shortly after, and finally, the World Championships at Ally Pally. This is one of the most crucial times in my career. I know I can still win a major tournament, which would help me get back into the top 10 rankings since I don’t have much prize money to defend.”

James Wade is currently ranked at position 22nd in the world chart and he positively knows he needs to improve his game as soon as possible. he added that “I have to make it happen. I need to perform well. I’ve been playing well and getting good scores lately, but not consistently as any good player is known for his consistency. I haven’t been making the right moves at the right moments in games, which has been essential to my success throughout my career.”
