This tournament is the ninth big event on the Euro Tour. which is with a whopping £175,000 in prize money up for grabs by the best contender!

German Darts Championship 2024 prize money breakdown
Some winning players will get their prize money directly in their bank accounts without it counting toward world rankings. This year 2024, 32 super lucky players will get automatic invitations to the European Tour events. The top 16 players from the Pro Tour Order of Merit get a free pass to skip the first round in the tournament, starting directly in round two. New this year, the top 16 players in the world rankings are also invited, but they have to jump in right from the start. However, both groups must win their first match to have their prize money count toward world rankings!

Sixteen more players will qualify through tournaments and no matter how they perform, they’ll get their prize money added to their ranking. These players are guaranteed at least £1,250 just for showing up!
But here’s where it gets even better: players reaching round two will see their prize money jump to £2,500. The top-16 seeds are guaranteed this amount, but they still need a win for it to boost their rankings. Making it to round three means £4,000 in the pocket, and quarter-finalists walk away with £6,000. If you make it to the semifinals, you’re guaranteed £8,500, with even bigger payouts awaiting finalists. The runner-up will snag £12,000, while the winner of this epic tournament will take home a massive £30,000!
The German Darts Championship is one of the oldest and most exciting Euro Tour events, with a long list of champions. Michael van Gerwen (2015, 2018, and 2022) is the only player to have won it more than once. Other champions include Dave Chisnall, Gary Anderson, Peter Wright, and last year’s sensation Ricardo Pietreczko, who claimed a stunning victory over Michael van Gerwen in the semis and went on to beat Peter Wright in the final.
