DIMITRI VAN DEN BERGH WINS. The 12th Players Championship tournament of Darts of this season has turned into an amazing victory for Dimitri van den Bergh, whos is known as ‘The Dreammaker’ among his fans .’ He secured the title by beating Matt Campbell in the finals match in Hildesheim.
This was indeed Van den Bergh’s 7th Players Championship final so far. this came after 2years of wait as his last appearance was back in year 2022 and Out of the six previous final matches, the Belgian had won 2 only, which makes his total to 3 Players Championship titles along with his two major titles.

Van den Bergh’s odyssey to the final was not less then thrilling experience! He took down Martin Schindler (6-3), Maik Kuivenhoven (6-5), Mike de Decker (6-1), Dom Taylor (6-3), Boris Krcmar (6-3), and Madars Razma (7-3) one after another.
On the other side, Campbell, the Canadian, also had a notable run. He proved to be a tricky and tough opponent for the Dutch players, who eliminats four of them in a row. Campbell first of all defeated Darryl Pilgrim (6-2) and Ross Smith, then overcame Wesley Plaisier (6-3), Gian van Veen (6-5), Richard Veenstra (6-5), and Danny Noppert (7-4).
The final match between Van den Bergh and Campbell wasn’t a high-stakes thriller, with both averaging in the 87s. Campbell initially led 3-1 after a 15-darter and two 17-darters.
However, Campbell missed three good chances to get 4-1 up, and Van den Bergh did not miss the opportunity. With only four 18-darters and a 17-darter, Van den Bergh made a come back to lead 6-3. He then hit a 16-darter to make it 7-3 before finishing the final in style with a 12-darter.
